Cookie policy
Last updated:
This page explains which cookies and similar technologies are used on bet2odds.com, why, and how you control them. The short version: our server sets no cookies, our default analytics is cookieless, a few small cookies keep the site working and secure, and analytics or advertising cookies are set only if you say yes. For how we handle personal data more widely, see our privacy policy.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep. Your browser sends it back on later visits, so the site can remember something, such as a choice you made or a security check you passed. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are first-party cookies; cookies set by another company's service on that site are third-party cookies.
Browsers also offer local storage and session storage, which let a page keep small values on your device. Unlike cookies, these are not sent to our server with each request. In this policy, "cookies" covers these technologies too where relevant.
Cookies we use
The table below lists every cookie that can be set on bet2odds.com, who sets it, how long it lasts and its category. Many visitors receive only the two first-party cookies, and analytics or advertising cookies never appear unless you accept them.
| Name | Purpose | Provider | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| b2o_consent | Remembers your cookie choice (analytics and advertising on or off), when you made it and which version of this policy you saw. | bet2odds.com (first party) | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
| b2o_age | Remembers that you closed the 18+ notice so it is not shown on every page. | bet2odds.com (first party) | 12 months | Strictly necessary |
| __cf_bm | Helps Cloudflare tell people from automated bots so the site stays available. Contains no personal profile. | Cloudflare (on bet2odds.com) | 30 minutes | Strictly necessary |
| cf_clearance | Remembers that your browser passed a Cloudflare security check, so you are not asked again. Only set if a check is shown. | Cloudflare (on bet2odds.com) | 30 minutes (Cloudflare default) | Strictly necessary |
| _cfuvid | Used by Cloudflare rate limiting to apply limits fairly to visitors sharing one IP address. Only set when rate limiting applies. | Cloudflare (on bet2odds.com) | Browser session | Strictly necessary |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics 4: counts visits and how pages are used, so we can improve the site. Only set if you accept analytics cookies. | Google (on bet2odds.com) | Up to 2 years | Analytics (with consent) |
| __gads, __gpi, IDE | Advertising: shows ads and limits how often you see the same one. Only set if you accept advertising cookies. | Google advertising | Up to 13 months | Advertising (with consent) |
None of the strictly necessary cookies contain your name or contact details, and none are used for advertising or to build a profile of you.
Browser storage
We also keep these values in your browser's storage. They stay on your device, are never sent to our server and are not used to identify you.
| Name | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
b2o-theme | localStorage | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme (absent when you follow your system setting). |
b2o:tz | localStorage | Remembers whether you chose to see times in West Africa Time or your own timezone. |
b2o:geo | sessionStorage | Your country for this tab only, used to show the right helplines and hide bookmakers not licensed where you are. |
b2o-splash | sessionStorage | Notes that the start screen already showed in this tab, so it shows only once per visit. |
b2o-shell-v1, b2o-last-predictions | Cache Storage | Offline copy of the site layout and the last predictions page you viewed, shown when you lose connection. |
Local storage lasts until you clear it. Session storage disappears when you close the tab.
Cookie categories
Strictly necessary
These keep the site working and secure, so they do not need consent. They are our own consent and 18+ notice cookies, and Cloudflare's security cookies, which help tell real visitors from automated bots and apply rate limits fairly. You can block them in your browser, but you may then see the consent banner and security checks more often.
Analytics (with consent)
Our default analytics, Umami, uses no cookies and only shows us totals. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 also loads and sets its own cookies so we can understand in more detail how pages are used. If you reject them, it never loads.
Advertising (with consent)
If you accept advertising cookies, our advertising partner may set cookies to show ads and limit how often you see the same one. If you reject them, no advertising cookies are set, though you may still see ads that do not use cookies.
How consent works
On your first visit a banner asks about optional cookies. You have three choices:
- Accept turns on analytics and advertising cookies.
- Reject keeps them off. The site works the same either way, and all predictions remain available.
- Manage lets you switch analytics and advertising on or off separately.
Nothing optional loads before you choose. We store your choice in the first-party b2o_consent cookie, together with the time you made it and the version of this policy you saw (currently 2026-10-16). When we change this policy in a way that matters, the version changes and the banner asks you again.
Your choice lasts for 12 months, after which we ask again so that an old answer is not treated as permanent. If you accepted and later reject, Google Analytics and advertising scripts stop loading from the next page you open. Cookies they already set expire on their own schedule, or you can delete them in your browser settings. Your choice applies only to the browser and device you made it on, so you may see the banner again on a phone or a different browser.
You can change your mind at any time, and withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Use the button below or the cookie settings link in the footer.
Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, the UK GDPR and the NDPA 2023, strictly necessary cookies do not need consent, while analytics and advertising cookies do. That is why we sort them this way.
Browser controls
You can also view, block and delete cookies in your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies or Site data.
- Safari: Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data. On iPhone, open the Settings app, then Safari, then Advanced.
- Firefox: Settings, then Privacy and Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
Clearing site data for bet2odds.com removes your consent choice and stored preferences, so the banner will appear again on your next visit. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics on every site.
Bookmakers and other websites
Our pages link to licensed bookmakers and other websites, some through affiliate links. Following a link does not place bookmaker cookies while you are on bet2odds. Once you arrive on another company's site, that site may set its own cookies, including ones recording that you came from us. Those are governed by that company's own cookie and privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We review this policy whenever the services on our site change. Any new cookie is added to the table above before it is used. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision, and a material change updates the policy version so we can ask for your consent again.
