Privacy Policy

This policy explains how bet2odds ("we", "us") processes personal data. It is written to meet the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) with the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. Who we are (data controller)

2. Data we collect

  • Technical data: IP address (processed by our hosting and CDN provider), browser type and pages visited.
  • Analytics: privacy-friendly, cookieless page statistics (Umami). No cross-site tracking.
  • Contact data: your email address and message if you write to us.
  • VIP subscribers (when launched): account and payment-status data. Card details are handled by the payment provider, not by us.

3. Purposes and lawful bases

  • Operating and securing the website – legitimate interests (UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); NDPA s.25).
  • Responding to enquiries – legitimate interests or steps prior to a contract.
  • VIP subscriptions – performance of a contract.
  • Legal obligations, such as tax records – legal obligation.

4. Cookies

We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function. Any non-essential cookies will only be set with your consent. TODO: cookie list.

5. Sharing your data

We share data only with processors that help us run the site (hosting, CDN, email delivery, analytics, payments), under written contracts. We do not sell personal data.

6. International transfers

Some providers may process data outside Nigeria or the UK. Where this happens we rely on adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses, as required by NDPA Part VIII and UK GDPR Chapter V.

7. Retention

Server logs are kept for 7 days. Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months. TODO: confirm retention periods for VIP data.

8. Your rights

Subject to the law, you can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and you can withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected]. We aim to respond within one month.

9. Complaints

10. Children

This site is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
